Jay Baptist Church

Jay Baptist Church held its Sunday School and Morning Worship Services June 14th, led by Mr. Gary Bestwick. The Sunday School lesson was taken from Zechariah, chapters 1 through 6. The message for the morning service was entitled “Faith That Works,” Ephesians 1 and Hebrews 11.

Three very meaningful hymns were sung, “Standing on the Promises,” “Whosoever Meaneth Me,” and “Is Your All On the Altar?” The choir sang “Living In His Love.” Gary Churchill and Peggy McDonald sang a duet entitled “I Know Who Holds Tomorrow.”

Choir rehearsal will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 17th, followed by a 7 p.m. Bible Study and Prayer Time. Sunday, June 21st, is Father’s Day. There will be a pulpit committee meeting Tuesday, June 23rd at 6 p.m.
