Lillian Nordica, opera diva and Farmington native, is the subject of a new children’s book entitled “Lily of the North.” The Nordica Memorial Association will be hosting a celebration of the book’s release from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, at the Nordica Homestead Museum on the Holley Road, two miles north of Farmington. The public is invited.
Authors Patricia Flint and Jane Parker, and illustrator Luanne Wrenn, will be present and available for book signing. Books may be purchased at Devaney, Doak and Garrett Booksellers, The Calico Patch, and The Nordica Museum.
