Annabelle Louise Russell Darveau

1920-2015

Annabelle Louise Russell Darveau, 94, passed away on June 16, 2015 at Edgewood Rehab and Living Center in Farmington where she had resided for the past five years.

She was born on Oct. 17, 1920 in Augusta, the youngest daughter of Clemont Haskell Russell and Mabel Attia Pomeroy Russell. She was educated in the schools of Augusta. Annabelle married Robert A. Darveau Sr. and he died in 1972.

She worked for the State of Maine in the Federal Building. She enjoyed going to the beach, traveling, playing card games and video games, putting together puzzles and listening to her favorite music singers – Neil Diamond and Patsy Cline. Annabelle loved spending time with her family and her cat “Magic”. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and quick smile.

She is survived by; her daughter, Patricia Darveau Cyr; her son, Robert Darveau; her niece, Gayle Petrie; her grandchildren, Krystal Cyr, Josh Cyr, Melinda Darveau, Melissa Darveau, Melanie Darveau, Darren Darveau; her brother in-law, David Darveau; her sister in-law, Maxine Darveau Caron. She was predeceased by; her husband, Robert Darveau Sr.; her parents; her sisters, Alma, Hazel and Cora; her brother, Earl; her son, John Darveau; her grandson, Danny Darveau; her sister in-laws, Barbara Darveau Rogers and Marguerite Darveau Blakely.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment beside her husband, Robert Darveau Sr. at the Forest Grove Cemetery in Augusta. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dan & Scott’s Cremation & Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington, ME 04938.
