Ned Bishop, dare-devil auto-race driver, who is behind the big automobile racing meet to be held on the State Fairground, Monday, July 5th, is in Lewiston hard at work upon arrangements for the event. He declares that it is going to be the greatest sporting event Maine ever seen. The two features of the day will be the last and next to last race. This next to the last race is what is known as an Australian pursuit race. In it four ears are stationed at different points on the track. At the drop of the flag each car starts on a wild race around the track. As fast as a car is overtaken it drops out of the contest. The free-for-all race will be a contest between the winners of the day.
