I am excited and proud to support Ben Chin for mayor of Lewiston.

It has been so good to hear a candidate say positive things about Lewiston. It has been even better to hear Ben share positive ideas. But the best thing is that Ben has been eager to listen to residents’ own ideas and concerns.

One thing Ben talks about is “the opportunity of youth.” Lewiston schools are adding 100 students a year. Unlike the rest of Maine, our biggest age group is people between the ages of 20-29. The second biggest is children 10 and under.

While he acknowledges that we face the challenge of getting older, he shares ideas for our city that take advantage of this powerful and potential workforce, better support for our schools, job training and raising the minimum wage.

I support Lewiston by supporting Ben Chin for mayor.
