SACO — Two Mt. Blue track and field athletes claimed top 15 finishes at the New England Track and Field Championships at Thornton Academy, June 13.
In track, Aaron Willingham, a senior, notched a 12th place finish in the 1600 meter run, crossing the finish line in 4:25.36. Top finisher, Eli Moskowitz of Souhegan, NH won the event in 4:15.71.
Willingham, also, finished 14th in the 3200 meter run. He recorded a time of 9:47.44. Eric Vander Els, from Brien McMaho, CT won the event in 9:18.15.
In field events, Nate Pratt-Holt garnered a pair of top 10 finishes in the long jump and triple jump. Pratt-Holt is a junior.
Pratt-Holt jumped 21-04.75 in the long jump event. Anthony DeNitto, of Newton South, MA, jumped 23-09.25 to win the event.
In the triple jump Holt claimed a 7th, jumping 44-09.00. Kurt Robakiewicz, of Nipmuc, MA won the event jumping 46-11.25.
