NORTH WATERFORD — Stoneham Chruch and North Waterford Church are welcoming new leadership. Reverend Rogers is a 2006 graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. In 2010 he graduated from Juaniata College in Pennsylvania with a B.A. degree in Religious Studies, and then graduated from Massachusett’s Andover-Newton Divinity School in 2013. He has been employed as an Ed Tech at Oxford Hills Middle School, working with Special Education students in the Essential Skills program, where he provides classroom support in all subjects, as well as teaching computer skills.
Church members have also met Rogers’ wife, Erica, who hails from Pennsylvania. College sweethearts, the couple met while playing in the college band; Rogers played tuba, while his wife played clarinet and tenor sax.
Church services for the remainder of June will be held at 10 a.m. in the Stoneham Church on Route 5 in Stoneham. During July and August, church services will be held at 9 a.m. in the North Waterford Church, Route 35, opposite Melby’s. All are welcome.
