RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the Life of Florence I. “Pappy” Wardwell was celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 25, at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Alfred Jacques was the celebrant, assisted by Deacon Matthew Gregory. Bernard Poirier was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist.

Music selections prior to the Mass included, “I Can Only Imagine,” sung by Tammy Schmersal Burgess. Other music selections were “Precious Lord Take My Hand,” “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Fly Like A Bird.”

The Old Testament was proclaimed by Cassie Wardwell. The New Testament was proclaimed by Cindy Wardwell. Prayer of the Faithful was offered by Al Fortier. Offertory gifts were presented by Mary Shaw Bradley and Cassie Wardwell. Personal reflections were shared by Clyde Wardwell. Interment was in St. John Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clyde Wardwell, Todd Wardwell, Glenn Scott, Corbin Wardwell, Gary Stewart and Dan Langevin.

A reception served by the Daughters of Isabella was held in the parish hall.

Services were under the care and guidance of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home, Cremation & Monument Services, 250 Penobscot St., Rumford.
