TURNER — SAD 52 Adult & Community Education has a wide variety of courses and camps planned for the summer session.

Drawing Camp: July 13 to 17, campers will start learning how to make simple sketchbooks, draw landscape and practice direct observation. Students will work with a variety of materials and subjects throughout the week. For ages 8 to 14.

Leavitt Youth Baseball: New for 2015. Campers, ages 9-12, will be coached by the members and coach of the LAHS baseball team in hitting, fielding and special positions through a combination of drills and games. Players looking to improve their game or to gain more repetitions will benefit from this camp.

The following classes are scheduled for July 15.

Kids’ Meditation: Introduce children ages 6 to 10 to the world of meditation with a guided journey designed to build self-esteem. Bring a blanket and pillow.

Kids’ Reiki: Children ages 6 to 15, will learn visualization techniques and how to move energy for self-healing.

Euro-Leather Bracelet: Make an ultra-hip bracelet from a selection of colors, textures, finishes and clasps. Learn how to incorporate different color meanings and symbolism into a bracelet for a personalized piece of jewelry. Workshop fee includes all materials needed to make one bracelet with one charm.

Laughter Yoga: Experience the Joy of Laughter. For all ages, laughter knows no boundaries, is contagious and has a powerful and immediate effect on the mind, body and spirit. The class involves deep breathing, stretching, clapping and laughing exercise.

Other Camps for the Kiddos and enrichment classes for the community include:

Challenger British Soccer Camp: For ages 3 to 14 from July 20 to 24. Innovative approaches to coaching youth soccer with a curriculum that includes a variety of foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, freestyle soccer, small-sided games, coached scrimmages and mini tournament play. Choose from mini-, half-day and full-day sessions.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga: Runs July 21 through Aug. 4. Anchored in the foundation of breathing and alignment, the class incorporates elements of Tai Chi, Dance Yoga & Shiva Rea’s Vinyasa Flow Yoga. Bring a water bottle, yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing. Avoid eating one hour prior to class.

Crochet Wire Jewelry: Explore crochet stitches in a new way in this class on Wednesday, July 22. Using wire and high quality glass beads, construct a necklace or bracelet simply by crocheting. No prior experience is necessary. Choose from a variety of colorful beads. Workshop fee includes all materials to make one necklace or bracelet.
