GARDINER — Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center, in partnership with the city of Gardiner and Gardiner Main Street, will present Skosh from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 9, in Waterfront Park as part of the free Waterfront Concert Series.
Skosh is the second in a series of outdoor concerts to be held at the park, assisted by a grant from the Coombs Family Trust.
Skosh is a five-piece jam-rock-alternative country band from Buckfield. Formed in 2007, the band is comprised of Jedidiah Allen on drums/vocals, Elijah Allen on bass, Tyler Russell on guitar, Sam Berce on guitar and saxophonist Peter Richard.
Skosh has been described by the Portland Press Herald as playing “”Phish-inspired tunes laced with the eclecticism that made rockers Ween famous in the 1990s.” The band has gained a reputation for their energetic stage shows and live improvisations. The band has gigged extensively over the last five years and has recently completed a first album.
