LEWISTON — A funeral Mass honoring the life of Bertrand A. Morin was celebrated on Monday, June 29, at Holy Family Church, following prayers at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home. The Rev. Marc Caron celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

At the beginning of the Mass the pall was placed on Mr. Morin’s casket, which symbolized his baptism into new life, by his children, Larry and Daniel Morin, Joline Gaumont, Carol Phinney and Connie Durgin. During the Mass the first reading was read by his daughter, Joline Gaumont and the offertory was brought to the altar by his grandchildren, Matthew and Amanda Grenier. Words of remembrance were expressed by his daughter, Constance Durgin. Following the committal services at the cemetery, members of the U.S. Army performed a firing detail, played “Taps” and presented our country’s flag to Morin’s son, Larry Morin.

The pallbearers were Michael Gaumont, Shawn Durgin, Ross Morin, Ronald Bolduc, Scott Biron and Matthew Grenier.
