Paper Musuem to hold meetings

LIVERMORE FALLS — The Paper Museum in Livermore Falls will hold meetings at 6 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays in July and August to finalize its celebration plans to honor mill workers, the paper industry and wood products.

The meetings typically last an hour, but not more than one-and-a-half hours. Anyone wishing to join may do so.

Community Concepts announces USDA Child, Adult Care Food Program

SOUTH PARIS — Community Concepts of 17 Market Square in South Paris has announced its participation in the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program.

Meals are available at no separate charge to all enrolled participants without regard to race, color, national origin, age, disability, sex, gender identity, religion, reprisal, and where applicable, political beliefs, marital status, familial or parental status, sexual orientation, or all or part of an individual’s income is derived from any public assistance program, or protected genetic information in employment or in any program or activity conducted or funded by the department.

Phillips Historical Society to show quilt collection

PHILLIPS — The Phillips Historical Society will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 5.

This month, the society will showcase its antique quilt collection by having all of its quilts on display. These quilts have been viewed, authenticated, dated and described by Laureen LaBar, the chief curator of history and fine arts from the Maine State Museum in Augusta. The society has several quilts that were woven at the old Phillips Woolen Mill. These quilts will be displayed throughout the house and barn.

ROXBURY — Stephens High Class of 1952 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 6, for their monthly luncheon at the home of Reggie and Angie Arsenault at Roxbury Pond.

All classmates are welcome.

Webb River Seventh-Day Adventist School to hold shoe collection

DIXFIELD — Webb River Seventh-day Adventist School will hold a shoe collection drive from Tuesday, July 7, to Friday, Aug. 7, to raise funds for new school equipment. Webb River School will earn funds based on the number of pairs collected as Funds2Orgs will purchase all of the donated goods.

Anyone can donate gently worn, used or new shoes at one of the following drop of sites: The Ark-Olive Branch Cafe at 791 Lisbon St., Lewiston; Better Living Center at 181 Front St. Farmington; Franklin Savings Bank at 197 Main St. Farmington; Taste of Eden Cafe at 238 Main St., Norway; Webb River SDA Elementary School at 58 Pine St. Dixfield.

Oxford Hills Class of ’70 to hold reunion

NORTH WATERFORD — The Oxford Hills High School Class of 1970 will hold its 45th class reunion from 3 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Waterford World’s Fair in North Waterford.

The event will start at 3 p.m. for visiting and getting reacquainted. Grilled hamburgers and hot dogs will be served from 5-7 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring dishes such as salads, desserts and alcohol if they wish. The event will end at 11 p.m.

Cost: $10 per person. RSVP recommended.

Students from the Classes of 1967 to 1973 are also invited to attend.
