I’d like to say “thank you” to Mr. Noel Smith and his friends for saving the former St. Louis Church from destruction.
He helped a dream to stay alive of the architect and those men who worked on it, brick by brick.
I’m not Catholic, but in my former hometown of Berlin, Germany, they have churches built in the 13th century and they go there also to worship.
When I saw the photo of St. Louis Church in the Sun Journal on June 25, I thought it was a pretty building with folks dancing in the sunshine (St. Jean Baptiste Day celebration).
May I suggest they sew themselves some peasant garments to wear, and also for their children? Children love to dress up and then enjoy a happy folk dance. That will free one’s mind and is also good exercise.
People should walk more instead of riding in cars, like they did 100 years ago.
