PHILLIPS — The Phillips Public Library summer reading program “SUNLANDIA” based on the book Weslandia by Paul Fleischman begins Wednesday, July 8th at 10:30 a.m. with a show by “The Magic of Conjuring Carroll”.
The “Sunlandia” Reading Program will explore the properties of sunflowers, and growing, cooking and crafting with the sunniest of plants. There will be a garden sunflower house for children to play and read in.
A reading record will be available for all books read throughout the summer and those read to the youngest of our participants. Prizes will be awarded to every 5 books registered up to 15.
Everyone is welcome to see the show and sign up for the reading program. There will be 7 Wednesday’s of books, crafts, projects, reading, snacks, and prizes.
The Phillips Public Library is located at 96 Main St., Phillips. The hours are Wednesday 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Thursday & Friday 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
