Concerning the behavior of Gov. Paul LePage, it could be he acts as he does according to the manner he was raised or treated as he grew up.

I remember a patient in a nursing home where I worked in Massachusetts. She was always giving the nurses a hard time, never satisfied about anything, angry all the time.

One day, I was the one who had to take care of her needs. She started on me as well. The thought came to respond in kind. But, my guardian angel told me to be kind to her.

So, I sat on her bed with her and hugged her and asked, “What is the matter?” She cried and cried and said “nobody loves me or visits me.” I told her daily at break time I’d go visit her and did; the situation got remedied.

Many need tender loving care, not more hate and persecution.

Remember the song “You Are My Sunshine”? We all could use some of it in our daily lives and workplaces.
