1921 – 2015

RUMFORD — Alberta L. (Smith) Galusha, 94, a longtime resident of Franklin Road in Jay, died on Saturday, July 4, at Rumford Hospital where she had been a patient for five days.

Alberta was born May 12, 1921, in Jay, a daughter of Parke F. and Myra M. (Foley) Smith. She graduated from Jay high school and married Paul Galusha in 1940, in Portland. Alberta worked many years at Norwalk Shoe in North Jay and she was a longtime member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Jay.

She is survived by many special nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Paul in 2006; brothers, Donovan and Arnold Smith; sisters, Muriel Farrington, Genevieve Wellman and Beryl Emerson.
