PORTLAND —  Jeffrey R. Pepin II, 17, a resident of Chesterville, died Thursday, July 2, at Maine Medical in Portland, after being life-flighted from Maine General in Augusta, following a swimming accident.

He was born Nov. 18, 1997, in Lewiston, the son of Katherine T. Goudreau and Jeffrey R. Pepin I. Jeff had just finished his junior year of high school and had started summer football practice for his upcoming senior year at Mount Blue High School in Farmington. He had always participated in sports, baseball being a favorite. Jeffrey also loved fishing and hunting. He spent time doing so with his dad, his uncles and had recently bagged his first deer with his stepdad. He was an amazing and moving guitar player.

Jeffrey was well liked by all who knew and met him, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Katherine Lord and her husband, Roderic, of Chesterville; his father, Jeffrey R. Pepin I, of Lewiston; siblings, Samantha, Angel, Michael, Brandon, Abby, Lexy, Katee and Jack; paternal grandparents, Paul and Diane Martin of Lewiston; and David and Marilyn Lord of Chesterville; aunts and uncles, Patrick Coburn, Albert and Nikki Pepin and David Pepin, Larry Lord and his wife, Sandy, Matt Lord and wife, Sandy, and Jeff Lord and Sharon, Samantha and Ron Lapointe and Lillian Ashton; many cousins; girlfriend, Samantha Spencer; best friends, Adam Oakes, Zack Black, Dominic Ellis, Shane and Desiree Brown, Terry Storer, and many more.

He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Edward and Joanne Goudreau; his cousin, Jake Lord; and Nana Donna Lord.
