NORWAY — A special town meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 9, to appropriate just over $5,000 for overdrafts from fiscal year 2014-15.
The Board of Selectmen signed the three-article warrant July 2.
In addition to selecting a moderator, voters will be asked to appropriate $5,000 from the unrestricted fund balance to cover an anticipated overdraft in the utilities account and appropriate $206 from the unrestricted fund balance to cover an overdraft in the emergency management account.
The action will close out the financial books for the fiscal year that ended June 30.
“We need to cover these before the auditor gets here,” Town Manager David Holt said.
The meeting will be held in the selectmen room at the municipal building.
