LEWISTON — Award-winning photographer Andree Kehn has been hired by the Sun Journal and will join its photography staff.

Kehn has been a wedding photographer for the past 10 years, earning awards for her work and becoming a leader in the Maine wedding photography community.

After graduating from Oxford Hills High School, Kehn earned a bachelor of arts degree in photography from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She returned to the mountains of Maine where she managed a souvenir mountain photography business at Sunday River ski resort in Newry for 10 years.

Kehn did a stint as a dinner cruise photographer on Lake Winnipesaukee in the lakes region of New Hampshire and also worked for The Citizen newspaper of Laconia as a staff photographer.

She returned to Maine and pursued wedding photography, and has also been a freelance photographer for the Sun Journal for close to 20 years.

Andree replaces Amber Waterman, who left the Sun Journal to raise a family and pursue a freelance career.
