Free gardening demonstrations offered
FARMINGTON — Healthy Community Coalition staff and master gardeners will offer events featuring gardening tips and hands-on demonstrations during the following times:
• Tuesday, July 14, from 10 a.m-1:30 p.m. at the Food City in Livermore Falls.
• Tuesday, July 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Livermore Falls Food Bank.
• Thursday, July 16, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Eustis/Stratton Food Bank
• Thursday, July 16, from noon to 3 p.m. at Fotter’s Market in Stratton.
Participants will be able to take home their own container garden. All plants and supplies are free while supplies last.

Spring Rock Park opening sale
LEEDS — A yard and back sale will benefit resident activities at Spring Rock Park.
The sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 18, at 802 Church Hill Road.
Items for sale will include books, puzzles clothing and lager items. Food will be hot dogs, sandwiches, drinks, breads, cookies and cakes.
Loon Echo leading forestry walk
HARRISON — Loon Echo Land Trust’s Stewardship Manager Jon Evans and Loon Echo’s forestry consultant Jeremy Stultz from Integrated Forest Management will lead an informational walk at the recently conserved Intervale Forest on Saturday, July 18, at 8:45 a.m., on Scribners Mills Road.
The walk will focus on working forests, providing insight into timber management goals from a long term perspective. The consideration given to animal habitat, forest composition, recreation and the environment will be discussed.
Guests should wear sturdy shoes and bring water and snacks if desired for this easy walk along woods roads for approximately two hours. In the event of heavy rain, the event will be canceled.

Grange holding open house
WILTON — An open house and membership drive will take place at the Grange No. 321 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, July 18, on Main Street in East Wilton.
The open house will teach about the many activities and community service projects that the members of the Grange undertake.
A free lunch will be served to those who attend.
Legion yard sale planned
BUCKFIELD — A yard sale will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at American Legion Post 58, 58 Morrill St.
Steamed hot dogs will be for sale.
VFW hosting chicken pie supper
PARIS — A chicken pie supper will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 18, at VFW Post 9787.
Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for ages 12 and under.
Friends of Wilson Lake to meet
WILTON — The annual meeting of Friends of Wilson Lake will take place at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 19, at the Reunion Building, Kineowatha Park.
Bring a chair and favorite pot luck item. Dessert and beverage will be provided.

Ledgeview seeks donations for sale
WEST PARIS — A rummage sale will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, July 21 and 22, and from 9:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, July 23, at Ledgeview Living Center, 141 Bethel Road.
Any donations will be graciously accepted.
