FARMINGTON — Franklin County Farm Bureau will open a photography contest in conjunction with this year’s Summer Outing. Prizes will be awarded to the top three pictures in each division.

There will be three divisions: youth, younger than age 12; youth, ages 12 to 18; and adults older than 18. Each contestant may submit up to two photographs. The unframed pictures must feature a barn and may be either five-by-seven inches or eight-by-10 inches. All photographs become the property of Franklin County Farm Bureau.

Each photograph entered in the contest should have the following information listed on the back: photographer’s name, telephone number, email address, age, and if planning to attend the Summer Outing. Photographs may be left at Farmington Farmers Union or delivered to Forster-Ricardo Farm, 261 Miller Road, New Vineyard, on or before Thursday, July 16.

The Summer Outing is open to anyone interested in learning more about Franklin County Farm Bureau. Meat and drinks will be provided, but participants should bring a salad or dessert to share and a chair. Socializing and a tour of the farm will begin at 11 a.m. with the meal planned for noon or a little later.

The photograph contest winners will be announced after the meal.
