SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas — U.S. Air Force Airman Jacob R. Zeien graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Zeien is the son of Scott A. and Tammy J. Zeien of Garrison, Iowa, grandson of Peggy and Ray Zeien of Dysart, Iowa, and brother of Anthony S. Zeien of Lichfield and Briar P. Zeien of Garrison.

He is a 2014 graduate of Union High School, La Porte City, Iowa.
