The crew of an oil tanker will send a $50 savings bond to the baby of the Rev. and Mrs. Bernard J. Stonehouse of 17 Webster St.. Lewiston. The Lewiston-Auburn Community Little Theatre began work this week on a handbook titled “A Field Guide to Your Community Theatre.” The handbook will be a humorous, but informative look at community theater. It will include a brief history of the 50-year organization and walk the reader through all stages of production, from auditions to ticket sales, set construction, costuming, lighting, and opening-night jitters. The text will be written by Barbara Randall and Lynn Derderian, supplemented with cartoon sketches and technical drawings. “The handbook is designed to make theater more accessible to the community by explaining major elements of a production,” said Derderian, CLT vice president.

The material in Looking Back is reproduced exactly as it originally appeared, although misspellings and errors made at that time may be edited.
