JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas — U.S. Air Force Guard Airman 1st Class Niel D. Sturtevant graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Sturtevant is the husband of Kimberly Klinkenborg and brother of Eddie Sturtevant and Evan Sturtevant. He is also the son of Bill Sturtevant of Dover, Del., and Donna Baldwin of Wilmington, Del., step-son of Wilson Baldwin of Wilmington, Del., brother of Malissa Harrison of Elkton, Md., and nephew of Jill Sturtevant of Auburn.

The airman graduated in 2012 from Mount Pleasant High School, Wilmington, Del.
