Turkey supper planned

LISBON — The Nina Rebekah Lodge No. 86 and Sabattus River Lodge No. 21 IOOF will host a public turkey supper from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 24, at Odd Fellows Hall, 27 Village St.

The menu will include turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, vegetables bread and homemade pie.

Cost of the meal is a $7 donation for adults, $3.50 donation for children younger than 12. Pre-school-aged children and younger eat free.

Mayor speaks at UNAA meeting

AUBURN — The next United New Auburn Association meeting will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, at Rolly’s Diner.

The speaker will be Auburn Mayor Jonathan discussing how Auburn can work closer with Walton and Sherwood Heights schools.

The meeting will also have information sharing, and all Auburn residents are encouraged to attend.

L.L. Bean schools at MWP

GRAY — L.L.Bean Outdoor Discovery School staff will lead a hands-on camping demonstration for families Saturday, Aug. 1, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Maine Wildlife Park.

L.L.Bean will set up a model campsite using equipment for participants to see and try out. In addition, there will be exhibits and displays about the schools.

As an added bonus, there will be a raffle for a free backpack and a gift certificate to L.L. Bean during the demonstration time period.

American Legion to host barbecue

GRAY — American Legion Post 86 will host a barbecue supper from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1.

Barbecue chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, beans, casseroles and desserts will be served.

The cost for this event is $8 for adults and $4 for children younger than 12.
