Baked bean, ham supper planned

LISBON FALLS — Lisbon Mothodist Church will host a home baked bean and ham supper from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 25, on School Street.

The dinner will be sponsored by the Mothodist Women. 

Cost of the meal is $7 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and younger.

Widows Fellowship to meet

LISBON — The Lisbon Area Widows Fellowship will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, at Lisbon United Methodist Church, School Street.

A pot luck lunch will follow fellowship.

All interested widows in the area are invited to attend.

The group meets on the first Monday of each month or the second Monday if the first is a holiday.

Bridge club announces winners

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners of the annual membership game at the Lewiston Armory on July 20 were: first, Thomas Goodwin and Misha Tomic; second, Patricia and Mike Quinn; third, Bailey Geeslin and Luke Merry; fourth, first in B, Connie and Ron Reynolds; fifth, second in B, first in C, Donna Bartlett and Claire Lyons.

Winners on July 21 were: N/S first, Cynthia Clifford and David Lock; second, Luke Merry and Mike Quinn; third, first in B and C, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe. E/W first: Patricia Quinn and Richard Balian; second, Jan and Vern Arey; third, Jeanine Kivus and Fred Letourneau. First in B and C: Claire Lyons and Bill Clifford; second in B: Georgette Jewell and Patricia Soule.

Games are played at 9 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is always guaranteed and all bridge players are welcomed.
