AUGUSTA — The Northern New England Retiree Council and Maine National Guard will host the 18th Annual Northern New England Retiree Activity Day on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015 at the August Armory.
The event is open to all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces and will provide retired service members from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard with information about military entitlements and benefits.
“Previous activity days have drawn over 1,000 retirees in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont,” said Chief Warrant Officer 3 Jon Hunt, Senior Personnel Warrant Officer “We expect over 1,000 retirees and dependents from all services to attend this year.”
The Event location is located at the Maine Army National Guard’s Augusta Armory located on 179 Western Ave., Augusta, ME 04330.
The event will provide service offerings in legal assistance, health care information, survivor benefits information, Veteran’s administration information, TRICARE/CHAMPVA, ID cards and renewals.
Registration is 8-9 a.m. and displays will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
