PARIS — The Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Hannah F. Richardson Tent 19 of Stoneham, held their monthly meeting on July 22, at the home of Kim Hansen in South Paris. President Marilyn Jones opened the meeting at 6:30 p.m. The membership was updated on the previous convention held June 26, in Waterville. The next meting will be held Aug. 26, at the home of Carlene Gavin on the shore of Norway Lake.

Knitting Guild

OXFORD — The Western Maine Knitting Guild will meet on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Eleanor Heidrich’s home in Oxford. Please bring a salad, hot dish or dessert to share. The pool will be open. The group will meet at 9:45 a.m. at the First Congregational Church in South Paris to carpool. In addition to a knit and chat, the group will also do a show and tell program.
