Arts night planned July 30
NORWAY — Members of the Christ Episcopal Church parish will come together to share through the arts on Thursday, July 30.
Visual art will be on display starting at 6 p.m., and performance arts will be shared starting at 6:30 p.m. Desserts, coffee and tea will be served following the performances.
The event is open to the public. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
Church to hold blueberry festival
GREENWOOD — Locke Mills Union Church will host a blueberry festival from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1.
Blueberries, pancakes, pies and sundaes will be available, along with baked goods. The event may end early if it sells out.
Turkey dinner planned in Paris
PARIS — A roast turkey dinner with all the fixings and homemade pies will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at Deering Memorial Methodist Church, 39 Main St., Paris.
Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children younger than 12.
Parking is available behind the library and town office.
Church to host Vacation Bible School
OXFORD — Pastor Lloyd Waterhouse of Grace Fellowship Church is inviting area children to Vacation Bible School.
The theme will be “EVEREST: Conquering Challenges with God’s Mighty Power.” VBS will take place at Grace Fellowship Church on Poplar Street. It will run Monday through Friday, Aug. 3 to Aug. 7, from 9 a.m. to noon each day.
It is open to children ages three to 14. Parents may stay with their children during Bible School hours.
There will be a closing program at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at the church. Parents and friends can hear the children sing, see a video review of the week, share their experiences and get their certificates. Refreshments will follow the program.

Knitting Guild to meet
OXFORD — Western Maine Knitting Guild will meet at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, at First Congregational Church, East Main Street, to carpool to Eleanor Heidrich’s home.
A knit-and-chat and show-and-tell program will take place.
New members are welcome to attend.

WATERFORD — North Waterford Church will host a public supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4.
Homemade casseroles, baked beans, brown breads and salads are among the items that will be served.
The cost for this all-you-can-eat-program is $8 for adults and $4 for children younger than 12. Everyone is welcome.
