Many of you will remember Rowena from her years of service to the town of Norway. In fact, especially clear in our memories are the stylish outfits that Rowena always wore — she always looked so attractive and fashionable.
But back to the photo — Rowena tells us that it was taken in the 1940s, in front of the old Norway Elementary School, which was a yellow clapboard structure that was located on Main Street where Guy E. Rowe School is now.
And Rowena should know — her mother, Winona Palmer, is one of the teachers in the photo.
