STRONG — Strong Area Health and Dental Center, 177 North Main St., will hold a food drive in celebration of National Community Health Center Week beginning Monday, Aug. 10. The health and dental center will accept nonperishable food items from Monday, Aug. 10, to Friday, Aug. 21. High protein donations such as peanut butter, canned chicken, beans or tuna are encouraged. Items may be dropped off in the health center’s waiting room. All food donations will be brought to the Strong Food Pantry.

The practice also will host a week of drug disposal days in collaboration with the Franklin County Sheriff’s office from Monday, Aug. 10, to Friday, Aug. 14.

Expired or unnecessary medications may be brought in for safe disposal. Collection times are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
