BETHEL — The renewal of a Responsible Pet Care Shelter agreement and several committee appointments are on the agenda for the Board of Selectmen meeting Tuesday, Aug. 11.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Town Office.

Town Manager Christine Landes said that every year the town needs to renew its agreement with the Responsible Pet Care Shelter in Paris, a nonprofit, no-kill shelter for animals.

“This way, we’re allowed to bring our animals to them,” Landes added.

The Board of Selectmen will also vote on whether to approve Andrew Glasfield to the Appeals Board, Neil Scanlon to the Planning Board, and Teague Merrill and Elisabeth Devine to the Recreation Committee as alternates.
