PORTLAND (AP) — Portland police say three men have been arrested in connection with the killing of a 49-year-old city man.

Police say Fred Akoa was discovered dead in his apartment on Tuesday. They arrested 23-year-old Abil Teshome, 36-year-old Mohamud Mohamed and 31-year-old Osman Sheikh and charged all three with murder on Thursday. The three men — who were in custody on unrelated charges — all from Portland.

They are being held without bail pending an arraignment that is expected Friday or Monday. It was not immediately known if they have lawyers.
