BRIDGTON — The third annual Village Folk Festival will kick off Friday, Aug. 21, on Depot Street. The two-day event will run from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Aug. 22. Live music, farm-to-table meals, children’s art activities and games, a beard competition and a history walk will be among the featured activities. There will be food vendors and a beer garden.
A wheelbarrow competition will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22. The categories will include: couples race, family race, kids race and homemade/alternative race.
