1931 – 2015

LEWISTON — Paul L. Fecteau, 84, of 293 Russell St., Lewiston, passed away on Friday, Aug. 14, at d’Youville Pavilion nursing care facility.

He was born on April 14, 1931, the son of Alphonse and Aurore Pruneau Fecteau and was educated in Lewiston schools. He married Carmen Lachance on June 26, 1954, and was a lifelong resident of Lewiston. Paul was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics and New York Giants.

Paul worked in the shoe industry and for many years, was foreman of the second shift at Jones & Vining. He was also a successful insurance salesman for American Income Life.

During their retirement, Paul and Carmen spent many winters snow-birding with friends at their Sarasota, Fla., home. He enjoyed hosting family and friends around the family pool and working on his tan at Old Orchard Beach.

Paul will be remembered for his gentle nature, quick wit and quiet disposition.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen Fecteau; son, Gary Fecteau and wife, Patricia, of Lewiston; daughter, Sandra Fecteau of Bowdoin; four grandchildren, Michael Bolduc of Philadelphia, Pa., Tammy Fecteau and Christie Fecteau of Lewiston, and James Fecteau of Assonet, Mass.; and great-granddaughter, Avery Bolduc. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Gerard Fecteau; twin sister, Pauline Fecteau; and infant sons, Ronald and James Fecteau.

The family would like to express gratitude to the entire staff on Four West at d’Youville Pavilion for the excellent care given to Paul.
