1927 – 2015

LEWISTON — Robert E. Boucher, 87, a resident of Livermore Falls, passed away, Tuesday, Aug. 18, at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 6, 1927, in Chisholm, the son of Elzear Boucher and Blanche (Bibeau) Boucher. He attended school at St. Rose of Lima and graduated from Livermore Falls High School. On May 7, 1969, he married Julia Conant. Robert served in the U.S. Marines during WWII. He was a pulp mill operator at International Paper at the Otis and Androscoggin Mills, retiring in 1987. Robert was a member of the International Paper quarter-century club, and former member of the Knights of Columbus and the Frank L. Mitchell, VFW Post 3335 in Jay. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time at Norcross Pond.

He is survived by his wife, Julia Boucher of Livermore Falls; one son, Bruce Boucher and his wife, Shirley, of Rockport; his granddaughter, Kelly Morris and her husband, Brandon, of New York City; his great-grandson, Rowan Morris; sisters, Irene Castonguay of Jay and Blanche Judd of Lewiston; sister-in-laws, Caroline Lawler of Roxbury and Sally Austin of Livermore Falls; and last but not least, his dog, “Rusty.”

He was predeceased by his sister, Moselle Dubord.
