LEWISTON — Some people didn’t bother to go to Simard-Payne Memorial Park for Saturday night’s balloon launch because of weather forecasts.

Which were wrong. Way wrong. 

Instead of rain, a rather large crowd watched another successful Great Fall Balloon Festival launch on Saturday night. 

And those who stuck around after the launch, got to see Jewel — the giant hummingbird balloon — lit up in the moonglow. The globe balloon was inflated for the moonglow also.
