MECHANIC FALLS — Alice June Pepin, 81, of Mechanic Falls died Monday, Aug. 24, at her home with her family by her side.
She was born in Framingham, Mass., on Nov. 23, 1933, the daughter of William and Elsie Morton Stronach. She graduated from Mechanic Falls High School in the Class of 1952 and had been a homemaker all of her life.
She was a member of Colfax Rebekah Lodge No. 27 and the Minot Corner United Methodist Church, as well as the Susanna Wesley group at church and UCT.
Alice enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch, quilting and embroidery. She baked bread and rolls every week and passed them out in the building.
She is survived by four children, Michael Gagne of Turner, Doreen Dial of Mechanic Falls, Stephen Gagne of Otisfield and Emma Giroux of Lewiston; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marion Finnerty.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Francis Gagne and Maurice Pepin; a son, Christopher Pepin; a sister, Ellen Larrabee; and two brothers, Col. Lou Millett and Al Stronach.
