LEWISTON — Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church will hold a 9/11 Memorial Service at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, during festivities at the Lewiston-Auburn Greek Festival when attendees will turn to prayers of remembrance and hope of renewal.
Also, throughout the festival, running from Thursday through, Sept. 10 to 12, video presentations will be shown on rebuilding of St. Nicholas Church, the only house of worship destroyed in the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center, and construction of the National Shrine on the same site in lower Manhattan.
The festival will run from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday on the grounds of Holy Trinity, 155 Hogan Road.
