Season outlook: Driven by a solid offseason workout set and by a strong group of seniors, Dirigo will look this year to crack the top of a tough-as-nails MVC. Opening with Winthrop won’t be easy, but then again, no games in this conference are easy this year. The Cougars are hoping a strong midfield and experience on the back line will keep them in games this season, and that a scoring punch, led by Lueders, Henderson, Holmquist and newcomer Daoud, will be able to provide enough offense.
