Season outlook: The Vikings were knocking on the door last year with a very, very young team. Nine wins from that group was a solid step in the right direction. Losing three key pieces of that team, including the top scorer in Angevine and top goalie in Fillebrown will sting, but the Vikings’ depth is unreal. And they still have just three seniors this season with a very large and talented group of juniors. Look for the Vikings to keep pace with Mt. Blue and give good chase to Messalonskee and Skowhegan, which are still the teams to beat in the KVAC.
