Season outlook: The Phoenix just keep getting deeper. Another large freshman class will help fill the void on the JV squad, while the varsity team begins its second season in the KVAC. Last season saw similar playoff results to the previous year, a loss in the Class B South final to York. There is a lot of scoring punch on the “key losses” list, and replacing that kick will be tough. But the team’s veteran back end should keep the team in games until it can find its scoring touch.
