Livermore Falls church to hold Rally Day
LIVERMORE FALLS — The First Baptist Church, 25 Church St., extends an invitation to all adults and children who would like to join them for a “Rally Day” on Sunday, Sept 13. They are hoping to welcome new adults and children who wish to find a renewed interest in a faith-filled life.
A special day of fun, faith and friendship will start at the regular worship time of 10:30 a.m. Beginning in the sanctuary, there will be special music and story-telling, followed by some game and craft time in the vestry. An outdoor barbecue will follow the time of planned activities. All food will be provided by church members.
The church is handicapped-accessible with an elevator at the parking lot entrance.

Sunday School classes forming
LISBON FALLS — New Sunday School classes are now forming at the Lisbon United Methodist Church, 14 School St., Lisbon Falls. Classes begin at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13. Children ages 3-16 years from the local Lisbon community are invited to attend. This year’s theme features age-appropriate Bible stories. Membership in the church is not required. Classes are open to all who wish to learn more about the lessons of the Bible.

Church announces programs
MEXICO — Sunday School at the Mexico Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 163 Main St. (the “Green Church”), will begin its fall session Sunday, Sept. 13. The curriculum will be “Deep Blue,” a weekly adventure through the Bible. The children will attend the opening of the morning worship service at 10 a.m. After the pastor’s family message, teachers and students will then go to the Sunday School wing for the lesson and activities.
Adult Bible study will resume at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 15, in the conference room. This year the group will be studying a Kerygma course. The material will be distributed at the first meeting.
The Women’s Fellowship will have its first meeting of the fall at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 15, in the dining room. Beginning in October, the group will meet on the first and third Tuesday of each month. All women of the church are invited to attend.
Reeds Mill Church to host hymn-sing
MADRID – Reeds Mill Church, on Reeds Mill Road, will host its annual fall hymn-sing at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13.
The event, first started in 1978, attracts people from near and far who enjoy the serenity of the one-room historical church despite the absence of electricity, water and central heat. The event will last for an hour.
Everyone is welcome. The kerosene lamps will be lit, but a flashlight is recommended.
