PARIS — The First Congregational Church, 17 East Main St., will return to its regular worship scheduled time of 10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6. During summer months, the church meets earlier.

On that Sunday, in place of the usual sermon, Pastor Don Mayberry will team up musically with his wife, Judy Mayberry, to bring a sermon of song and word. Within the context of the sermon, they will add songs to add depth to the sermon message. They have been singing and performing folk/country music for many years and are well known for singing and playing music together.

While guests and visitors are always welcome Mayberry said he would love for neighbors to come this Sunday for this sermon of songs and stories.

On Sept. 13, the choir will return and the Sunday school will gather for a new year. The public is invited to bring children or grandchildren at 10 a.m. Pre-registration is not needed.

First Congregational Church is handicap-accessible. Services are broadcast live on AM 1450 and AM 780. Sermons are posted on Facebook at South Paris Congregational Church.
