TURNER — Fall classes at MSAD 52 Adult and Community Education, 486 Turner Center Road, are underway.
The following classes start the week of Sept. 21.
Reflexology for Self-help: Reflexology is an ancient healing art that offers many health benefits such as stress reduction, improved sleep patterns and increased circulation. Couples or friends are encouraged to attend together.
Crochet Wire Jewelry: Use crochet stitches in a whole new way to construct a necklace or bracelet. Crochet with wire and add high quality glass beads. No prior experience is necessary.
Substitute Training: Learn about school expectations, teacher’s lesson plans and assertive discipline. This course is one step in the substitute teacher application process for the District. A high school diploma is required, college degree preferred.
Courses starting the week of Sept. 28 include:
Wire-Wrapped Sea Glass Earrings: Learn basic wire-wrapped techniques to make matching earrings using pre-drilled cultured sea glass available in a variety of colors
Watercolor Paint Party: A fun, relaxing night of watercolor painting. Students receive step-by-step instructions to complete a 5×7 matted painting. All supplies are included in the price of the class.
Map, Compass and GPS Basics: Discover essential information on the use of maps, compass and GPS skills. Recommendations for compasses will be given at the first class but participants may bring their own compass or GPS.
