WILTON — New Ventures Maine is offering a free workshop, Introduction to Self-Employment, from 1-3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, at the Wilton CareerCenter, 865 U.S. Route 2E, Wilton.

The class covers the pros and cons of owning a business, the steps needed to get started, the major elements of a business plan and the many resources available to business owners.
