This is in response to Neil Bourgoin’s letter to the editor (Sept. 4).
Bourgoin spends most of his letter railing against liberals and promoting full support of conservative values.
He says that Obama’s background and citizenship are secretive. Has any president been more thoroughly vetted?
He further states that Obama associated with people that hate America. Does he know who Jesus associated with (see Saint Paul).
He cites The Washington Post (and probably forgot Fox Entertainment), saying they dubbed him “liar of the year.” I wonder if The Post said the same thing about President Bush when he got the U.S. into a war with Iraq using false evidence?
With regards to Planned Parenthood, Bourgoin wrote, “liberals just look the other way, finding everything acceptable. How sinister. Christians believe in God’s word: Thou shall not kill.” I would address that with a question for Bourgoin: Who killed Jesus?
Bourgoin stated that “conservative parents raise children with strong moral character and virtuous purposes. Parents rule. In a liberal environment, the children rule.”
It must give him great comfort to know he only has to ask each person, “Are you a conservative or liberal,” in deciding who to extend his olive branch to in his search for those people” with strong moral character and virtuous purposes”.
