Fish & Game announces shooting schedule
SOUTH PARIS — Norway-Paris Fish & Game Association has announced its fall shooting schedule. Events will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays, Sept. 13, 20 and 27. All events will take place at the range on 744 Buckfield Road (Route 117). Everyone is welcome.
Adult and junior categories in running deer and trap are offered. Prizes for each round and overall winners in each category will receive trophies at the October potluck supper and business meeting. Lunch and homemade goods will be available at each shoot. The rain date will be Oct. 4.
The 10 winners of the gun raffle will be drawn at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, rain or shine.

Program at Spiritualist Camp
HARTFORD — A workshop, “Sensing the Aura By Way of Energy Fields And Velvet Hands” with Barbara Eckhardt will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at the Pinpoint of Light Spiritualist Camp 1190 Main St., Hartford Town Hall.
The workshop will cover the aspects of the aura as it relates to health and disease, the energy emanating from the aura, and the significance of the healer’s hands in a spiritual healing. Participants will have the opportunity to attune themselves for contact healing either as a sitter or as a healer. Class time is two hours. Suggested donation, $20.
Barbara Eckhardt has been a spiritualist for more than 25 years. She has completed the MPI course for Licentiate Minister, Certified Medium and Commissioned Healer. She is a member of the Harrison D. Barrett Spiritualist Church in Bangor and Pinpoint of Light Spiritualist Camp.

Cub Scout recruit night

DIXFIELD — PreSchool Story Time at Ludden Memorial Library will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, and will be offered for one hour at that time every Monday (excluding holidays and school vacation days). Training for hospice volunteers
LIVERMORE FALLS — RSU 73 Adult and Community Education Center is offering free training sessions for hospice volunteers. The sessions will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, and from noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the center, located at the old Livermore Falls High School superintendent’s office, 9 Cedar St.

Square dance lessons in Wilton
WILTON — Fall square dance classes with the Wilton Friendship Squares begin Sept. 14 at the Wilton Academy school cafeteria. Class times are 6-8:30 p.m. for new students, Plus-level class from 8:30-9 p.m.
The first two classes are free for new students, half-price after that for new students. Classes are held every Monday that school is open through Dec. 14.

PARIS — Christian Women United luncheon will be served at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the First Congregational Church.

BikeMaine 2015 participants lunch
WATERFORD — The North Waterford Church, Route 35, will host a lunch for participants in BikeMaine 2015 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15.
The 365 participants in this year’s event will stop for a healthy and local-sourced lunch of tossed salad from church members’ gardens, finger rolls freshly made by Melby’s Eatery, apples from Pie Tree Orchards and homemade cookies and bars.
Members of the community are invited to meet with the bikers, and community and civic groups are welcome to set up tables or displays to inform riders about the area.
The event will occur rain or shine.

Western Foothills Land Trust offering planning program
NORWAY — The Norway Public Library will host a program by Western Foothills Land Trust on succession planning for Maine landowners from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15.
Rich Merk, treasurer of the Small Woodlot Owners Association of Maine, will lead the discussion. Many landowners are of ‘a certain age,’ or nearly so, and may realize that they need to plan for the future of their land and other inheritance issues, but don’t know where to start. Merk, who helped craft SWOAM’s most recent publication, “The Succession Planning Handbook,” can help. Copies of the handbook will be available for sale at $15.
