Residents still have a chance to offer their input on the draft update of the town’s Comprehesive Plan.
Over the last several months, the Orono Town Council has been reviewing the draft plan, which was created as the result of the efforts of the volunteer Comprehensive Plan Committee. The council is in the final stages of revising the document and is tentatively planning to hold the public hearing on the plan at the Oct. 19 council meeting. Councilors strongly encourages all residents to attend this meeting to learn more about it and provide feedback before council adopts the plan the following month. Input from the community is critical as the council works through the process of adopting and implementing the plan.
