AUBURN — Auburn Adult and Community Education is taking registration for Fall Courses.
Some classes being held include:
Ayurveda 101 — Ayurveda is a 5,000 year old practice from India, the sister science to Yoga, focusing on health, wellness and balance. Monday, Oct. 5.
Meditation for Healing Your Body — Chakras are centers of distribution of basic life energy located along the spine. Monday, Oct. 5.
Buying vs. Renting — Experts in the lending and real estate fields will discuss the benefits to renting and to owning. Wednesday, Oct. 7.
Marriage and Money — The course will discuss how to avoid eight common mistakes where people can lose $300 to $800 per month, offering simple solutions on how to eliminate debt. Tuesday, Oct. 13.
Unique Mosaics — The course will teach how to create mosaics. Tuesday, Oct. 13.
Alcohol Ink Painting — Participants will practice painting with alcohol inks on a nine- by eight-inch tile. Tuesday, Oct. 13.
Seller’s Seminar — Experts in the real estate industry will discuss when it is a good time to sell. Wednesday, Oct. 14.
Zumba at Sherwood Heights School – Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance fitness class. Thursday, Oct. 15.
Meditation for Visiting the Spirit World — This course will explore and learn about an otherworldly paradise known as the spirit world. Monday, Oct. 19.
Hypnosis for Smoking Cessation — Hypnosis may help participants quick smoking. Wednesday, Oct. 21.
Vinyasa Yoga Flow (all levels) — Vinyasa Yoga is a flowing yoga class that incorporates elements of Tai Chi, Dance Yoga and Shiva Rea’s Vinyasa Yoga. Monday, Oct. 26.
Tai Chi for Stress Relief — Participants in the course will learn Tai Chi meditative techniques and gentle movements to naturally and effortlessly allow the body to relax and the mind to settle. Tuesday, Oct. 27.
